And today, the Aurora police are asking for help in determining the whereabouts of a man named Eric Jesus Chacon-Martinez, who has not been seen since the night of the homicide. Police want to talk to him.
Chacon-Martinez is thought to be between thirty and 33 years old, according to the Aurora police. He stands 5-foot-8-inches tall and weighs 160 pounds, the police say; he may work as a house painter and go by the name Jesus.
As for the victim, he also has several aliases, according to the Arapahoe County coroner's office, including Rodolfo Cancino and Rodolpho Martinez. His cause of death is not being released because of the ongoing criminal investigation, the coroner's office says.
Anyone with information on Chacon-Martinez's whereabouts can call Aurora Police Agent Todd Fredericksen at (303) 739-6106. For Spanish, call (303) 739-6957 and leave a message in Spanish. Tipsters can also send a text to 274637 (CRIMES), then use the title DMCS and enter a message. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
The Aurora police and Metro Denver Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects.
