But it'll be tough to undermine the words of Francisco Moran, who said Hector Alvarez-Martinon stabbed him on Thanksgiving shortly before breathing his last.

According to the first report from the Brighton Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Eastgate Mobile Home Park, 3060 East Bridge Street, at around 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving. They were told two men were chasing a third behind a mobile home, with the latter yelling for help.

No wonder. When cops found the victim, subsequently identified as Francisco Moran, age 22, he was naked from the waist up -- a wardrobe choice that made it easier to tell he'd been stabbed, since his torso was covered with blood.

The BPD's response time was impressive: The department estimates officers were at the address just ninety seconds after getting their orders. But even that wasn't quick enough to save Moran. Although he was still ambulatory when the cops found him (he was spotted walking behind a mobile home), he soon passed out -- but not before sharing his side of a very sordid holiday story.

Continue to read more about the arrests of Hector Alvarez-Martinon and Alex Hernandez, as well as to see photos and a map of the area. The department's release explains that Moran was inside a black 2007 Cadillac Escalade with eighteen-year-old Alvarez-Martinon and 21-year-old Alex Hernandez when the former allegedly began stabbing him. Moran subsequently bailed out of the vehicle at the mobile home park, with Alvarez-Martinon and Hernandez in hot pursuit.

How did Moran know Alvarez-Martinon? Turns out the latter is uncle to Moran's children.

Moran was rushed to Denver Health via ambulance, but he was later pronounced dead. Meanwhile, Alvarez-Martinon and Hernandez (both residents of Denver) evaded authorities for a few hours, but not much more than that. They were taken into custody at about 3:45 p.m. that same day on suspicion of first degree murder. They remain behind bars.
