Frontier's economic stimulus deal's a real cockpit tease

Those flashy online Frontier ads sure look enticing. Click and you'll find out that the airline has extended it's Economic Stimulus Package deal until today! Flights from Denver starting at $39! "Save big bucks all across the USA," their website says. Big bucks! Across the USA! Why not? But click...

Those flashy online Frontier ads sure look enticing. Click and you'll find out that the airline has extended it's Economic Stimulus Package deal until today! Flights from Denver starting at $39! "Save big bucks all across the USA," their website says. Big bucks! Across the USA! Why not?

But click further and you'll find out that there are only two $39 flights: to Albuquerque, New Mexico and Colorado Springs. Okay, Albuquerque isn't a bad deal. But Colorado Springs? Really?

Say you wanted to fly there on February 18 and return the next day. According to their website, the total cost would be nearly $100. (That's $39 each way plus fees, taxes etc.) With gas prices between $1.50 and $1.70 a gallon, that's not economic stimulus. That's economic suckiness.
