How to Stage the Ultimate Stoner Wedding: This Week in Pot

Booze and cigars are synonymous with wedding celebrations, so why not pot? That's what the coordinators of the Cannabis Wedding Expo are asking as they prepare to show you how to legally infuse ganja into your reception this Sunday at Point Gallery. Couples, business owners and anyone else over the age of 21 are invited to come learn about social consumption laws and tasteful cannabis additions to high-brow events. You can even indulge while you do it — but bring your own stash.

On Tuesday, January 12, Green Labs will host Bend and Blaze – a free, 21+ vinyasa yoga class with optional cannabis consumption – from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Participants must register on the Bend and Blaze eventbrite page.

Christian/marijuana support group Stoners 4 Jesus — a church group whose members embrace the spiritual connection that cannabis brings them — holds weekly Bible-study meetings every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Quince Essential Coffee House, located at 1447 Quince Street in Denver.

Veterans support group Grow for Vets is holding a cannabis giveaway for veterans on Saturday, January 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the Clover Leaf University Campus. The giveaway is free to attend for Grow For Vets members, who typically receive a few grams of flower, edibles and smoking accessories. For Grow for Vets members who are agoraphobic (fear of places, crowds, situations) or who need other special considerations, please e-mail [email protected]. Member enrollment at the event will be available.

The Cannabis Wedding Expo will ring its bells on Sunday, January 17, at Point Gallery. Running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the expo will show couples and attendees how to celebrated in a safe, sophisticated style with marijuana. There will be wedding displays, gifts and giveaways from marijuana service providers and information available on social consumption laws. Cannabis consumption (bring your own) will be allowed at the venue, but there will be none for sale at the event. 21+

The Denver Kush Club and Spangalang Brewery are now hosting Vinyl Sundays — weekly parties dedicated to sharing the love of records, beer and ganja — at Spangalang. The Denver Kush Club will hand out free joint cards and merchandise while Spangalang forgets to charge full price for beers. Bring in some vinyl records to share and receive $1 off each beer. 21+

The Cannabis Clinicians of Colorado will hold its monthly meeting in Level L2 of 1700 Lincoln Street on Tuesday, January 19. The usual snacks and networking session will take place starting at 6:30, after which members will be updated on Colorado's medical marijuana regulations and receive a presentation from Enigami Systems and its patient treatment-tracking software. The meeting is $15 for regular CCC members and $30 for non-members.
