Now, Bohl has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the crime, even though, as we reported, investigators weren't initially certain Hosier was the victim of a homicide.
Now we know why.
Turns out Bohl self-reported her death two days after it happened — time he allegedly spent with a former girlfriend. His claim: Hosier had been killed by accident after a television set fell on her face.
Hosier's body was found at the Crestline Motel, 7330 Brighton Road, on November 4, 2014. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the neck, causing her to asphyxiate.
Prosecutors maintained that Bohl killed Hosier, then split for his ex's place in Fort Lupton. Two days later, he called the cops, telling them the story about the TV.
Investigators didn't buy it, and neither did the jury, which found him guilty of first-degree murder in his November 2015 trial after deliberating for less than two hours.
After Bohl was sentenced to life without parole yesterday, March 2, 17th Judicial District DA Dave Young issued a statement: "I hope this life sentence brings some sort of closure to the family for the loss of Jayme. This was a horrible crime for which the defendant showed no remorse. The life sentence is a just and appropriate sentence under the circumstances of this case."

Original post, 8:50 a.m. December 15, 2014: In addition to making two arrests in a triple murder (with a detective taking part in the second winding up wounded, possibly by friendly fire), members of the Adams County Sheriff's Office have busted Joshua Bohl in relation to another death: the slaying of young mom Jayme Hosier at a local motel.
Although the cops weren't initially sure she was the victim of a homicide.

As for her Facebook page, it features portraits like those on view above. But it's dominated by pics of her two adorable children.

The ACSO notes that in the beginning, "the cause and manner of death were not known." But after an autopsy and what the sheriff's office describes as "further investigation" by detectives assigned to the case, Hosier's death was determined to be a homicide.
Then, on Friday, December 12, ACSO personnel presented their findings to the 17th Judicial District DA's office, which subsequently issued an arrest warrant for Bohl. He was taken into custody around 5 p.m. that evening.
Bohl is being held on suspicion of first-degree homicide.
