Ken Bastidos, Wanted for Rapper Michael House's Murder, Caught in Arizona

Update: Kenneth Bastidos, who was named in an arrest warrant for the murder of aspiring rapper Michael House on May 4 outside a Super 8 Motel in Adams County (see our initial coverage below), has been captured.

This information comes to us from Danielle Urban, House's sister, who was contacted by a detective working the case.

According to Urban, corresponding via e-mail, the detective told her that Bastidos was taken into custody by police in Flagstaff, Arizona. She adds that "he has some of my brother's stuff that was left at an apartment where he was staying."

No word thus far about Bastidos's presumed extradition to Colorado or other details. But Urban is greatly relieved by this turn of events. In her words, "I'm so freaking happy that they caught the second suspect."

She deserves it, given the heartbreak that she and House's friends, family and loved ones have been going through.

Original post, 8:20 a.m. May 10: Nearly a week after a man was gunned down outside a metro-area motel, Kenneth Bastidos, a suspect suspect in the case, remains on the loose.

And he's considered to be armed and dangerous.

According to Fox31, the slaying took place at around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, in the parking lot of a Super 8 Motel.

The location: 5888 Broadway, just north of East 58th Avenue near I-25.

Thus far, the Adams County coroner hasn't released the name of the victim or the cause of death.

However, witnesses heard multiple gunshots, fired in quick succession.

The thus-far-unidentified victim was declared dead at the scene.

Within the next day or so, Jose Ocampo was arrested at a Motel 6 in Lakewood

But the hunt continued for an alleged conspirator amid reports about a vehicle seen after the shooting.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office now says that Bastidos was last seen driving a 1996 Jeep Cherokee bearing Texas license plate number GFW-7518.

Despite this Texas-related clue, one of Bastidos's Facebook pages (he has three) says that he went to Adams City High School in Commerce City, and his community of residence is listed as Aurora.

Among the photos on the pages is the one-fingered image at the top of this post, as well as a pic in which he displays two digits....

...and a portrait of him with a friend.

In addition, the Adams County Sheriff's Office has shared the following photo, which appears to be a mug shot.

The ACSO advises members of the public not to contact Bastidos because of the suspicion that he may be strapped.
