The Friday night shooting at 136 South Julian Street had one inarguable result: a man was killed, and Denver Police say the homeowner pulled the trigger.

What's still unclear, though, is if this shooting was a crime or an example of legal home defense.

According to the DPD, two people showed up at the home, prompting an argument/confrontation that ended around 9:25 p.m. with a gunshot, inflicting what would turn out to be a fatal wound for one man; he was pronounced dead at Denver Health. The other person fled by was located several hours later. But neither that individual nor the homeowner has been charged with anything at this writing.

Will they be? Hard to say -- but according to Fox31, the bickering at the house had been going on long before a bullet flew. See the station's report below, followed by an interactive graphic showing the area near the scene; if you have problems seeing the image, click "View Larger Map."
