Mass Roots Munchie Crawl Will Whet Your Appetite for Local Marijuana Events

Ever go on a pub crawl or an evening of bar-hopping and wonder to yourself, "Why can't I do this with weed?" Well, your dreams are coming true — although you might have to wait for the after-party to consume. The Mass Roots Munchie Crawl is coming up, and it's exactly what it sounds like. If you're sick of paying upwards of $20 for a pot-infused candy bar, learn how to make your own at Clover Leaf University's Cannabis Culinary Arts class on Tuesday, September 29, from 4 to 8 p.m., at 3888 East Mexico Avenue. Your edibles education, taught by industry professionals, will include how to make pot-infused butter, oil, candy and dinner entrees. The course ends with a certificate of completion. Clover Leaf University is also offering a Cannabis Business 102 course on Tuesday, September 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at 3888 East Mexico Avenue. The in-depth study will focus on a variety of industry aspects, including growth and expansion, location scouting, budgeting, production and more. Registration is $299 at the CLU course page.

On Wednesday, September 30, Green Labs will host Bend and Blaze – a free, 21+ yoga class with optional cannabis consumption – from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. Participants must register on the Bend and Blaze eventbrite page.

Local artist Heidi Keyes will teach her 21+ Puff, Pass and Paint class at 7 p.m. Friday, October 2, at 2087 South Grant Street. Friday, October 2, is the deadline for public comments on the Colorado Medical Board's proposed changes to the state's Medical Marijuana Registry. The changes would make obtaining a medical marijuana recommendation much more difficult in Colorado, as it would force those seeking recommendations to undergo physical examination, a background check of medical records, imaging studying or laboratory testing and risk assessment— which includes looks at patient and family history of substance abuse, physical abuse and mental and emotional health. Medical marijuana dispensary Simply Pure will host Real Talk with Jason Cranford— two lectures on the uses of CBD oil followed by a Q & A session— on Saturday, October 3, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Each lecture covers the uses of Haleigh's Hope, which is a CBD oil used to fight conditions of epilepsy, cerebral palsy, intractable seizures, Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis and Chron's disease, among other ailments. Pub crawls are all the rage in Denver, so why not an edibles expedition? The Mass Roots Munchie Crawl— a tour of Baker neighborhood dispensaries that lands you deals at Denver Relief, L'eagle, Peak and Sticky Buds Broadway— is coming to town on Saturday, October 3, from 1 to 6 p.m. For $30, you can grab some cheap edibles at the aforementioned dispensaries, get free samples of food from participating restaurants in the neighborhood, and receive admission to a smoking after-party thrown by Colorado Cannabis Tours. Both pot-infused and non-infused foods will be available. 21+

Terrapin Care Station on 33rd Avenue in Aurora offers free tours of its cultivation operation on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. Each four-person tour is first come, first served, and lasts about thirty minutes. After a short introductory video, guests will go on a walking tour through the growing facility, where they'll learn how Terrapin pot products are manufactured from seed to sale.
