The Denver Police Department is investigating shootings at 12565 E. Albrook Drive, in an area captured in the graphic above (if you have problems seeing the image, click "View Larger Map"). Officers arrived at the scene around 1 a.m. to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds; one died, while the other is in critical condition as of the last report. On June 21, 2009 at 1:00 a.m. Denver Police received two calls of a shooting at 12565 E Albrook Drive. When officers arrived on scene they found two men outside the apartment building suffering from apparent gun shot wounds. Paramedics pronounced one victim dead at the scene while transporting the second victim to Denver Health Medical Center where he underwent surgery.Currently, detectives are investigating what lead to this shooting. There is no suspect information available for release at this time. The victim who underwent surgery is currently in critical condition, but expected to live. The identity of both victims is pending additional investigation and the identity of the deceased is also pending positive identification and notification of next of kin by the Coroner.
The Denver Police Department is investigating this case as a homicide at this time.
