Upon their arrival, Aurora Police found a man suffering from stab wounds who subsequently died at a local hospital.

NATURE: Police Investigate Early Morning Homicide

Aurora, Colo. -- Aurora Police detectives are investigating an early morning stabbing that claimed the life of one man.

On September 20, 2009, shortly after midnight Officers responded to the 1200 block of North Chambers Road on a call of an assault with a knife. Responding Officers arrived within minutes of being dispatched and found a male victim suffering from life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit were given charge of the investigation.

During the course of ensuing investigation Police learned that it was a fight involving an unknown number of people that led to the stabbing.

Police have no suspect(s) identified at this time.

Additional information about the victim - to include his identity - is not being released at this time. Detectives have been unable to positively identify the victim. An autopsy is not expected to be performed until early next week.
