In the interview, available by clicking here, the two discuss everything from fatherhood to Iverson to the infamous punch: "Look at hockey, you punch someone, they give you a ten minute penalty," Melo opines.
At one point, Melo turns interviewer and asks Williams where he comes up with his material. Williams replies that he reads USA Today and the Wall Street Journal and listens to radio all the time to be aware of what's going on in the world. "My job is to look at the world and translate it into funny," he says. "I can't do that without the information. That's my equivalent of you taking that many shots."
Next, Melo eloquently queries, "When the other comics be doing their thing, do you ever be like, 'He's bullshit, get him off the stage?'"
The two chat about shitty comics for a minute before Melo tells Williams he should do an entire show clowning other entertainers.
"I can't take advice from you until you're off your suspension," Williams quips.
"Man, I have time to think about this stuff now," 15 fires back.
Thankfully, Melo can free his mind from Katt Williams' next career move this Monday, when his fifteen-game suspension is over, and he and Allen Iverson will finally take the court together. That's when the real MySpace interview begins. -- Adam Cayton-Holland
