I can't speak for others, but I am thrilled that this lovely historic building will once again be in use.As for the Q&A about the local dog owners, the article appears to imply that dog owners in the area have simply taken over the property without permission. I just want to say that there is a group of us who are using the site responsibly, with the permission of the city. We have been notified of the "closing" of the dog park, we are working with the city to find another location for a permanent dog park, and we are not planning to violate the trust of our partners at the City of Denver by using the property inappropriately once it closes down. Having said that, I know that there are others out there who do not respect the agreement that has been made between the Byers community dog park and the city. I would like the dog park community to be acknowledged for its commitment to being good neighbors even though there are, as there always is, a few who choose not to respect the parameters of the implied social contract of being a good neighbor, let alone an explicit, although friendly, agreement with the city.
Thanks.
