Most of us have had the experience of dealing with neighbors whose partying is too loud. Typical responses include asking them to lower the volume a notch or two, calling the cops or putting in earplugs and grumbling yourself to sleep.

But according to the Colorado Springs Police Department, that's not how Saul Lucas handled a similar situation. The Fort Carson soldier allegedly reacted by confronting the revelers -- and stabbing four of them. Details and more below.

The CSPD blotter notes that the incident took place at 3793 Westmeadow Drive, an address that's part of a sprawling apartment complex captured here:

The cops say Lucas lived next door to the party zone, and when it came time to express his displeasure, he brought a knife with him -- and used it.

Officers reveal that one person received a stab wound to the head, another was slashed on his forearm, a third was cut in the shoulder area and lucky number four suffered a slice to the ear.

It didn't take CSPD reps long to respond, as they were just finishing up with another call nearby. As such, they arrested Lucas, 23, at the residence in question on suspicion of attempted murder and more.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports that Lucas is an infrantryman with Fort Carson's 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team and has been a member of the military for a year-plus. But whether his service will continue is another matter, given that he was booked into El Paso County jail with bail set at $50,000.
