Some Frontier jobs possibly bound for... Milwaukee?

And Denverites thought the only place they had to worry about Frontier Airlines jobs going was Indianapolis, home base of the carrier's new owner, Republic Airways Holdings. Now there's a report that 250 local Frontier positions could be headed to Milwaukee, headquarters of another recent Republic purchase, Midwest Airlines. True, that number represents only a small slice of Frontier's overall workforce, which is estimated at 5,000 employees -- and there's apparently a chance that Denver could inherit 150 jobs from a facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico that would offset some of the losses. But it seems clear Republic is seriously considering some forms of geographical consolidation, with assorted Midwest metro areas the likely beneficiaries. Et tu, Des Moines?
