Gary Fenton of Woodland Hills, California's Little Red Feather Thoroughbred Racing was caught off-guard by the attention garnered by the latest horse the stable is syndicating -- but in retrospect, it shouldn't have been.

After all, her name is Tebowing -- a nod to the genuflecting trend that's even got Tim Tebow Twitter-pated.

Last week, Little Red Feather sent out an e-mail to clients with the following message:

We are so mesmerized by Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow and the latest craze "Tebowing" (check out the site) that we decided to rename our Fusaichi Pegasus filly TEBOWING (the original name "Eye Pity Dafu" was denied by the Jockey Club for being phonetically similar to another horse's name).

Tebowing is a daughter of 2000 Kentucky Derby Winner, Fusaichi Pegasus. "Fu Peg" is the sire of many big-time stakes winners like Roman Ruler, Champ Pegasus, and Australian champion Haradasun. Since 2002, Fu Peg's progeny have earned over $52M!

"We had very good information about this filly when we bought her," explained LRF Executive Bloodstock Agent Tom McCrocklin. "And now that I have her, she's impressed me even more with her attitude and willingness to learn. I hope she is as good as her namesake seems to be."

The syndication price for a share of Tebowing was set at $3,250, with Little Red Feather offering an act-fast deal: "If you invest before November 30th and send us a picture of yourself Tebowing, we will knock 5% off the initial share price."

The word about Tebowing spread quickly after USA Today posted a story. "I must say we were extremely surprised," Fenton notes via e-mail. "We send information about our horses to our closed network of clients only."

Shortly thereafter, he continues, "we did get a few clients that wanted to buy shares. I am not sure if it was because of the name or actual horse. Tebowing is well bred. Her father, Fusaichi Pegasus, won the 2000 Kentucky Derby. Nonetheless, some of our clients sent in photos of themselves Tebowing and naturally we discounted their share."

Here's an example, featuring longtime LRF investor Joe Rosen:

Despite The Chosen One's appeal, however, shares of Tebowing, who's expected to make her facing debut in Southern California next year, are still available. For more information, e-mail Fenton by clicking here.

Let's hope she doesn't do any Tebowing until she crosses the finish line.
