Update: The barricade situation at PT's Showclub that we described in previous coverage below is over, and it's ended in strange fashion.

Police entered the club, where four gunmen were supposedly holed up — but upon entering, they found no one there.

According to Fox31, the armed suspects broke into the establishment at around 6:15 a.m., when the only folks inside were members of the cleaning crew, all of whom escaped unharmed.

Afterward, police, including SWAT units, arrived in force, blocking off the street and surrounding the club.

Then, around 9:30 a.m., they entered the premises. It was deserted, suggesting that the men had managed to escape some time earlier.

Things are now getting back to normal in the area. See our previous coverage below.

In addition, officers could be seen with guns drawn.

PT's Showclub is among the most venerable venues of its type in the Denver area.

A blurb on its website reads:
The world-famous PT's Showclub, 1601 the house of fun, has been wowing crowds for over 30 years. A longtime Denver strip club tradition, PT's has been named Exotic Dancer Magazine's Gentlemen's Club of the Year!

PT's Showclub is the perfect place to go wild! We stay open until 4 a.m. every night with continuous sensual entertainment. Friday and Saturday nights are routinely huge as singles and couples pack the dance floor. It's a party like you've never seen before!
The DPD didn't offer any details about the situation until moments ago, when the social media team sent out the following tweet:

That's it thus far, although we're hearing reports about four gunman inside the club. We'll continue to update the situation.
