Well, it’s not exactly the 100-year flood, but the overflow on the Cherry Creek near downtown sure felt that way to people who use the path everyday. Because of recent rains, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been releasing water out of Cherry Creek Reservoir south of the city.

So far, no causalities have been reported, although the waters may threaten nests of the endangered Mile High Muskrat. Property loss has included 15 crack pipes, one rollerblade (left boot), and scores of discarded Steel Reserve 40oz bottles. Oh, the humanity. – Jared Jacang Maher
