The 2011 version of Westword's Denver Web Awards are back again, after a hasty first-run last year. This time, we're introducing new categories to recognize Denver-Boulder's creative and forward-thinking app developers, but have included a few favorites, like Best Shameless Self Promoter and Photo of the Year. Skip ahead to vote in our Denver Web Awards poll now, or read below for more details about this year's party and awards ceremony.

This year, we have forty categories in News/Community, Music, Food & Drink and the Arts.

The winners will be announced at a semi-private party on Wednesday, November 16 at Casselman's Bar & Venue via a multimedia awards ceremony. It's an opportunity to meet like-minded people IRL, talk about memes until they are not funny any longer, and see the faces behind the best of Denver's online community and your favorite mobile applications.

Check back here in the coming weeks for an announcement of our musical guests -- and in the meantime, follow two of this year's judges on Twitter: Jenny An and Kelsey Whipple.

Check out last year's Web Awards winners: "We had a party and tweeted about it: Westword #WebAwards winners!."
