We found a fairly recent YouTube video featuring King talking about politics and current events on the DU campus. It's below, along with details of this tragic accident.
In the clip below, King wears a green T-shirt emblazoned with the logo of the Orphanage Outreach Teach Corps. Among other topics, he shares his dislike of for-profit universities, because of the debt students who attend them often rack up.
The accident took place at around 12:38 a.m. this morning on the 1800 block of East Evans, near the High Street intersection. According to 9News, King wandered into traffic and was struck by a silver vehicle. Rather than hitting and running, as far too many individuals involved in such accidents have of late, the driver stayed on the scene, where King was pronounced dead.
Our condolences to King's friends, family and loved ones. Here's the 9News report.
