Located on the main level of the A-Frame base lodge, 6th Alley had a million-dollar renovation over the summer, tripling its capacity, expanding the bar area, creating balcony seating and adding weather protection outside on The Perch. But the changes aren't all physical: table service has been added, and the bar now features about twenty rotating draft beers, with fifteen taps dedicated to Colorado microbrews. Chef Christopher Rybak has updated both the cocktail and food menus, too.
"It's a new look for sure, but those historical elements help maintain the same vibe people have grown to love about the 6th Alley and I think patrons will be intrigued," Rybak says. "We can't wait to invite our guests back to their favorite ski area bar -- they're the ones who keep that special vibe alive at the Basin."
6th Alley reopens to the public Wednesday, December 11, at 11 a.m.; regular hours will be Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
