Bonacquisti, which calls itself Denver's Urban Winery, is located at 4640 Pecos Street, where it makes grapes from the Western Slope into a variety of white and reds, including the famous Vinny No Neck, a blend of merlot and petite syrah.
Colorado wineries are allowed to have five outside tasting rooms, either temporary or permanent, as long as they pull a permit that allows that business to sell wine on their behalf, says vintner owner Paul Bonacquisti. He currently has permits for the Highland farmers' market and for Fromage to Yours, 8100 South Quebec Street, a Centennial cheese shop that pairs its domestic cheeses with Bonacquisti wines.
Last year, Bonacquisti also had a permit to sell at Café Caliente in Highland Square, but the café eventually got its own liquor license.
The Artwork Network is a gallery and consulting business run by Alan Kirchner; it also lends out artwork for businesses like Bonacquisti's to hang on their walls.
