Wednesday, April 10Avery Brewing will host a Karma Belgian Pale Ale release party today, beginning at 5 p.m. in the taproom. The event will also be a food drive for Harvest for Hope Food Pantry; bring in three items from the brewery's high-needs list (located on its Facebook page) and you'll get a free pint of Karma.
Copper Kettle Brewing will tap a cask of Cherry Chocolate Stout made with Hershey's dark chocolate. The taproom is open from 3 to 9 p.m.
Thursday, April 11
Star Bar is hosting a Deschutes Brewing night starting at 6 p.m. and featuring both full pours and flights ($18) of three-ounce pours. The featured beers are: Armory XPA (a brand new, very limited, draft-only experimental pale ale featuring Nugget, Northern Brewer, Citra, Cascade, and Centennial Hops), along with Abyss 2011, Hop Henge, River Ale, Chainbreaker and Red Chair.
300 Suns, a brewery-in-planning in Longmont, will hold a "virtual barn raising" today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Brewing Market coffee shop, 1520 South Hover Road in Longmont, to help bring attention to the brewery's Indiegogo campaign, which kicked off a couple of weeks ago. Bring your laptops or mobile devices and a credit card number to contribute.
Friday, April 12
Wynkoop Brewing is bringing back a beer is hasn't made in several years, but one with a great history. Kurt's Mile High Malt is a coffee-infused lager that is based on a recipe that author Kurt Vonnegut got from his brewer grandfather and gave to Wynkoop co-founder John Hickenlooper. The brewery first made the beer in 1996 as part of its Denver Public Library series and again in 2007 when Vonnegut died.
Fort Collins Brewing in Fort Collins will hold a party to release its new summer seaonal beer, Hoptitude Imperial Extra Pale Ale, today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The easy-drinking. 7.5 percent ABV beer will also be available in liquor stores in four packs. Party-goers can win discounts for Hoptitude T-shirts and on stainless steel growlers.

Echo Brewing in Frederick will celebrate its first anniversary today beginning at 11 a.m. with a party complete with live music, food trucks, giveaways and special beer tappings. In addition, American Craft Beer Radio will be in the house for a live broadcast.
Thursday, April 18
Copper Kettle Brewing, which was one of the first breweries to open as part of a new wave of small beer makers, will celebrate its two-year anniversary today from noon to 10 p.m. (and over the next few days) with new beers, bands and food trucks. Today, Copper Kettle will put two beers on cask, Double Mexican Chocolate Stout and its Rauchbier. Nick Amodeo will be there on guitar and mandolin at 5 p.m., and Basic Kneads Wood Fired Pizza be be there are 4 p.m.
Friday, April 19
The Copper Kettle continues its two-year anniversary weekend today with "Battle of the Beers," which involves five different beers brewed by five different CKBC employees. You can vote on your favorite for bragging rights: Pecan Wood Smoked Brown Ale, India Alt Ale, Belgian Wit w/ Lemongrass & Ginger, Belgian Dark Strong Ale aged in Port Barrels, or Barrel Aged Saison w/ Strawberry & Rhubarb. In addition, the Conquistadors of Nothing will play at 5 p.m. and Crazy Good Food will be in the house from noon to 5 p.m. Then Biker Jim's takes over with food from 5 to 10 p.m.
Saturday, April 20
Yeah, it's 4/20, and in that spirit, take a look at this post from November, "Five Colorado pot-themed beers to pair with Amendment 64." In the meantime, there are some beer events going on today as well, although the first three are definitely mile-high crossovers.
And speaking of dank, the Falling Rock Taphouse will tap a draft-only double IPA from Lagunitas called Waldo's Special Ale. The beer is brewed every year jut for 4/20 and it will be tapped at exactly 4:20 p.m.
River North Brewery will introduce a traditional Abbey-style Dubbel today in the taproom at 1 p.m. as part of its continuing homage to Belgian beers. The 7.4 percent ABV brew "delivers the dark fruit notes typical of monastic dark beers, backed by a seductive malty complexity and subtle sweetness," the brewery says. You can get the beer on tap or by a 22-ounce bomber bottle to go. Eighty cases were brewed, so the Dubbel will also be available on some Denver-area liquor store shelves.
Star Bar will also host a 4/20 event, tapping a keg of Stone Brewing's Enjoy By 4/20 IPA today at 4:20 p.m. Stone created the Enjoy By series last year; it brews each batch only for select markets and then names for the last date by which it should be consumed -- the point being that many IPAs taste best if they are enjoyed fresh. Its most recent batch, Enjoy by 4/20, was distributed in Colorado, among other states. This may be the last keg available in Colorado, and Star Bar will have commemorative Stone glasses and then live music from the Stilettos at 9 p.m.
Copper Kettle's weekend birthday celebration continues today with Barrel Aged Baltic Porter and two special cask releases. There will be live music from the Acoustic Mining Company from 5 to 10 p.m. and two food trucks, Eighty Ate Food Truck from noon to 5 p.m., and Uber Sausage after that.
Sunday, April 21
The Copper Kettle wraps up its four-day birthday extravaganza with a vertical pairing of 2012 and 2013 English Barleywine. There will be live music from Pete Stein on guitar from 4 to 9 p.m. and food from the Biscuit Bus from noon to 7 p.m.

Tickets for Avery Brewing's fourth annual Boulder SourFest, taking place on June 8, go on sale today at 9 a.m. Last year's sold out in seconds, you can get after it here: bouldersourfest.eventbrite.com.
Brewer's Republic in Colorado Springs and the Focus on the Beer blog will host a Crooked Stave tap takeover today from 5 p.m. to close. Crooked Stave specializes in beers with wild yeast strains and barrel aging. The beers on tap are: Vieille Artisanal Saison, Surette Provision Saison, Apple Whiskey Barrel Vieille, Hop Savant, Saint Bretta and Origins Burgundy Sour.
Saturday, April 27
Parry's Pizza will host its Big Ass Tap Takeover featuring thirty different Avery Brewing beers at three of its locations at the same time. The takeover begins at 11 a.m. and continues until 11 p.m. Avery and Parry's memorabilia will be raffled off, and Avery representatives will be on hand to answer questions.
