From 5:30 to 7 p.m., as a precursor to tipping back tequila, you can join the LoDo District in beating the recession blues at Blues on Blake, 1925 Blake Street, when the live music venue passes out hors d'oeuvres, complimentary libations and door prizes. Or, you can head to Randolph's Bar and Restaurant, 1776 Grant Street, for a wine tasting. Up in Boulder, from 5:30 p.m. to midnight, The Kitchen [Upstairs], at 1039 Pearl Street, is bowing to beer drinkers with a three-course dinner celebrating "Van Diemen," the collaborative debut brew from Avery Brewing Company and Mountain Sun Brewery.
