Andy's Asian Express opened on Monday, January 11, in a former Dairy Queen at South Federal and Iliff, across the street from Lincoln High School. "We did a lot of remodeling," says owner Andy Shi. "Now we have an open kitchen, so you can see what we are doing."

One thing that hasn't changed: the drive-thru. "We are a fast food restaurant," explains Shi. One, he adds, with "very good prices and we make everything to order."

The menu includes Chinese, Thai and other Asian cuisines, as well as daily specials. There's also "a student special because we are across the high school," Shi says.

Andy's Asian Express is open for dine-in or to-go Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
