Warmer weather signals the return of food-truck season, and the premier gathering of food trucks in Denver — Civic Center Eats — rolls back into Civic Center Park today. Every subsequent Tuesday and Thursday through early October (with the exception of a few days when the space is set up for other events), the park will be a delicious gathering place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. And this year, there's even more of a good thing: Wednesdays have joined the lineup.
“Civic Center Eats’ return is a sure sign that spring has arrived in Denver and summer isn’t too far behind,” pronounces Lindy Eichenbaum Lent, Civic Center Conservancy executive director. “We’re grateful to the attendees, food trucks and sponsors who make Civic Center Eats a beloved community tradition, and are thrilled to add Wednesdays to the Tuesday and Thursday schedule this year. People make parks, and Civic Center Eats continues to revitalize Civic Center Park through positive activation and community engagement in this historic urban oasis’ future.”
The event will feature more than fifty trucks each week, on a rotating basis, and there's always live music, too, as well as other booths.
Proceeds help support Civic Center Park revitalization efforts through the nonprofit Civic Center Conservancy. Get all the details, including a list of participating trucks and performing bands, at the Civic Center Eats site.
And see you there for opening day!
