Like its locations in other states, the Colorado Alamo will focus on local craft beers. In fact, the theater, which will offer full bar and restaurant service in all seven screening rooms, will have a whopping 32 of them, from nineteen breweries.

"I wanted to get a wide variety of styles and make sure we had something for everybody," says bar manager Brian Mills. "I also wanted to spread the love among the craft-beer community. Some of them are from very large breweries and some are from very small ones. It's important that we are local to the market wherever we go."
The beers, which range from mellow flagship brews to bolder, more limited-release selections, will likely rotate on a quarterly basis, but the initial lineup is as follows: Wynkoop Belgorado, Great Divide Colette, New Belgium Lips of Faith Series (rotating), Tommyknocker Maple Nut Brown Ale, Colorado Cider Glider Cider, Dry Dock Apricot Blonde, Boulder Beer Hazed and Infused, New Belgium Fat Tire, Wynkoop Rail Yard Ale, Crazy Mountain Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, Ska Modus Hoperandi, Avery IPA, Odell IPA, Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale, Oskar Blues Mama's Little Yella Pils, Breckenridge Vanilla Porter, Bristol Laughing Lab Scottish Ale, Upslope Craft Lager, Fort Collins Red Banshee, Tommyknocker Root Beer, Odell 90 Schilling Ale, Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro, Great Divide Yeti, Avery White Rascal, Breckenridge Agave Wheat, and Prost Weisbier. Alamo will also have Colorado Native from MillerCoors incubator AC Golden (which is made from 100 percent Colorado ingredients) and four taps of what it calls "Badass" beers. "What we did in Austin is that they are seasonals, one-offs, sours, barrel-aged stuff and rare pilot batches," Mills says. "It's meant to give us flexibility."
The theater will also stock forty beers in bottles and cans, "ranging from Coors Light to Chimay Red and everything in between," he adds.
To create the beer list, Mills says he did a lot of research and reached out to the breweries directly rather than to their distributors.
"Colorado has an educated beer community, and Drafthouse is our middle name," he notes, "so this something we can take pride in."
