Denver Restaurant Week ends and Cochon begins on this week's culinary calendar

Here's a taste of what else is on the culinary calendar for the week:

Monday, March 4:It's beer month at Bridgewater Grill, 800 11th Street in Golden. The restaurant is offering a five-course dinner paired with beers from Great Divide Brewing for $40; call 303-279-2010 for details.

Wednesday, March 6:

Lucky Pie Pizza & Tap House, 1610 16th Street, is tapping a keg of Ommegang Brewing's Seduction Belgian ale. Call the restaurant at 303-825-1021 for more information.

Stir Cooking School, 3215 Zuni Street, is hosting a special cooking class at 6:30 p.m. for Denver Restaurant Week. Participants will have the opportunity to create, and then enjoy, a menu featuring fresh herbs. The class costs $52.80 per person; call 720-287-4823 for more details.

Thursday, March 7:At Cocktails for a Cure at the McNichols Building, 144 West Colfax Avenue, mixologists from various local establishments will be concocting drinks for a good cause. Visit the website for more information

The Denver Botanic Gardens is hosting another Denver Restaurant Week cooking class at 6 p.m. tonight, this one focusing on pantry essentials. The deal is available to new and renewing members; $52.80 gets you an annual "individual plus" membership to the Gardens, which means you can always bring a friend, as well as entrance for two people into the classes. The Colorado Authors' League is sponsoring an evening with local food blogger and cookbook author Michele Morris. Tickets are $40 per person or $70 per couple and include one cookbook and a tasting of three dishes straight from Morris's home kitchen. Visit the website for details.

Friday, March 8:Restaurant Kelly Liken, 12 Vail in Vail, is kicking-off Cochon 555 tonight with a six-course, collaborative menu from five local chefs. The paired-menu costs $150, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the James Beard Foundation. Call 970-479-0175 for more information.
