Restaurant Roll Call: All the Openings and Closings for October 2017

Industry experts are beginning to buzz about the restaurant bubble that they're predicting could soon burst. But here in Denver, the scene keeps on expanding, with very few closings to let the wind out. How much of it is just hot air? That's hard to know, but new, original and fun concepts keep cropping up, along with still more trendy spots (just how much poke can we eat?).

For example, the ambitious menu and all-day market offerings at the Bindery could be difficult for a kitchen to nail from the get-go, so it may be some time before the Bindery's LoHi neighborhood can give a confident thumbs-up or thumbs-down. And downtown, can a Quicky-Mart-style shop make it work with locally made products and fresh grab-and-go grub? That's the hope at Choice Market. Also a big risk — as much for the location as for the setup — is Solutions Lounge and Restaurant, an escape-room entertainment complex that also serves food and beverages (a first for Denver) on a stretch of no-man's-land between RiNo and Five Points where big housing developments are in the works.
