On Sunday, September 22, DISH will dish out food and drinks from dozens of Cafe Society's favorite restaurants and trucks, as well as Best of Denver readers' winners, in the Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Orange Crunch, our pick for Best Food Cart in the 2013 Best of Denver , is joining the party with its Northern Philippine-style, gluten-free empanadas and traditional Filipino egg-rolls.

The Bronco-themed cart uses 100 percent rice flour, annato seeds for natural orange coloring, seasoned shredded green papaya, mung beans, fresh egg and seasonings for its signature empanadas, which are made both in vegetarian and pulled pork versions.
"The recipe is based on empanadas from Gloria's Empanadas in the Philippines," says co-owner Leshner Del Rosario. "But we changed the seasonings to cater to the American palate. And we have a four-cheese blend, pepperjack cheese and roasted jalapeno as additional items to go inside the empanada."
Orange Crunch caters at several microbreweries around town, where it offers varying meat options, including bison, elk, wild boar, bacon, chicken sausage, lamb, alligator and andouille sausage. Check the Facebook page for updates on where the truck will be parked.
Or catch it at DISH, which runs from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sunday 22. (VIP ticket-holders get in at noon.) For more information about Westword's annual celebration of the Denver dining scene, including how to buy tickets, visit our 2013 Westword DISH site.
