Super heroes aren't real. Sorry. But you can drown that sad truth this weekend with a superhero beer -- a collaboration between Breckenridge Brewery and Denver Comic Con, which kicked off yesterday at the Colorado Convention Center. The Fantastic Pour, a riff on the Fantastic Four, was settled on after a contest on Comic Con's Facebook page. It's an American wheat ale with an ABV of 4.5 percent -- so you can drink more than one before donning your cape. "As their first year in action, we thought this was a great group of guys with a great mission to get involved with," Breckenridge spokeswoman Terry Usry says via e-mail about Comic Book Classroom, the nonprofit group behind Denver Comic Con. The organization teaches kids to read through comic books in an after school program. "And what better way to bring" beer geeks and, uh, regular geeks, together?, she asks. Breckenridge plans to team up with Denver Comic Con every year on a beer, which will only be available for a short time a couple of spots around town. There are also pint glasses with special Fantastic Pour artwork being given away at some of these spots.

Here's where you may or may not be able to find the beer on draft, depending on how super you are: the 1Up, the 2Up, the Hard Rock Café, Lucky Pie, Earl's, Breckenridge Colorado Craft (the former Breck Ballpark Pub) and the convention center.

And here's where you can find the glasses:

Friday, May 15 (today!): Lucky Pie will celebrating the beer from 10 to 11:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 16: Earl's will be giving away glasses from 9 to 10 p.m.; the Hard Rock Café will do the same between 10 and 11:30 p.m.
