Guess where you're eating? At a DINR restaurant, if you're Brian -- and one more winner

Cafe Society served up five Guess where? contests last week, ranging from a hamburger at Black Pearl that inspired a discussion of both the French fries and when to use a tilde with the word "jalapeno" (my rule: not when I'm typing on a tiny netbook keyboard) to these still-mysterious lettuce wraps to an incredible plate of pasta at Virgilio's.

For correctly identifying that dish, Brian wins a DINR deck. Want to win your own? Read on.

At the end of the week, we'll give away one more DINR deck to someone who correctly identifies one of our still unknown-origin dishes from July. Scroll through the archives, and then post your guess by July 30.

In the meantime, Brian, send your contact info to [email protected], and we'll send you the prize. (Previous winners: If you're still waiting for a DINR deck, send a note to [email protected].)

But really, anyone who buys a DINR deck is a winner: For $50, you get 52 cards, each offering a $10 discount at a local, independent restaurant that's a member of the Denver Independent Network of Restaurants. You can buy the decks at any Tattered Cover location or at www.eatdenver.com.

Or, of course, you can win one right here. Because next Monday, Cafe Society will again award a DINR deck to one of the winners of the previous week's Guess Where I'm Eating/Drinking posts.

Happy eating -- and guessing.
