Jessie and Steve Liu will open the doors of their second sushi restaurant today: Hana Matsuri takes over the former home of Village Bistro at 2821 West 120th in Westminster.

The Lius have owned Land of Sushi, at 2412 East Arapahoe Road in Centennial, for nine years -- and that restaurant was so successful they were inspired to start another. "We have so many regulars from Land of Sushi, we wanted to serve more customers," Jessie says.

"Our chefs have at least ten years' experience and we offer fresh fish and top-grade seafood, the best we can find," she says. As at Land of Sushi, Hana Matsuri's menu will feature sushi and sashimi, but there will also be pork, duck, lamb, chicken and traditional Japanese dishes. The new restaurant will also have ten beers on tap, 65 kinds of wine, 15 kinds of saké and 14 specialty drinks.

Once the doors are open, lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner from 4:30 p.m. to10 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 4 to 9 p.m. For more information, call Hana Matsuri at 303-404-9888 or visit landofsushi.net.
