The Digs: Cozy and comfortable, Billy's Inn has been a north Denver institution for more than 75 years. It's a fabulous spot to drink tequila (the list will make your head spin) and a fun spot to surround yourself with friends you haven't met yet. Parking is almost always available in the lot around the building, and the patio is a great place to catch a buzz and a tan when the sun beats down.
The Verdict: Billy's Inn is a paradise for the scatterbrained and easily distracted, for stoners, overworked office folk, and those who just aren't sure what they want out of life or a drinking establishment. The food isn't mind-blowing, but it's one of the few places in Denver where you can walk in, grab a stool, order a hellishly good margarita ($3.75), deviled eggs ($3.50) and sweet potato fries ($4.50) and have them all in front of your face within ten minutes...if you're into that sort of thing. The bartenders are extremely friendly, the patrons are always entertaining and the vibe feels like home.Overall Grade: B+
