Latke Love developed quite a cult following when it opened in Park Hill a few years ago after its start as a market vendor in 2011. But fans of the crispy potato cakes topped with classic ingredients like apple sauce and lox as well as playful fare like green chile and pulled pork with Carolina barbecue sauce have been missing the comfort-food creations of Tina and Steve Shander and Steve's sister Dina since the little shop closed in the summer of 2014. The long days of longing for latkes are nearly over though; Latke Love is opening a new eatery on Littleton Boulevard tomorrow, December 1, at 8 a.m.

Dina Shander says the menu will be the same as at the original Park Hill location, with seven latke options with names like the Oy Vey Caliente; the Rabbi, I'm Confused; and the Meshuggah. But there's also twice as much space as at the old shop plus a full liquor license and three patios for outdoor noshing when the weather permits.

Latke Love takes over a quaint bungalow that had previously been converted into a restaurant space and was most recently a bar and grill. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.
