Here's what the mag had to say:
The Victorian-style Wine Country Inn is situated in the foothills of the Western Slope of Colorado, smack in the middle of 20 acres of vineyards. The inn's 80 rooms are within walking distance of two wineries and a short drive or bike ride away from nearly two dozen more. Other activities feature lolling on wraparound porches with rocking chairs and wicker furniture and an afternoon wine tasting. For more privacy or for extended-family reunions, book the Vintner's Guest House, with rooms and suites that can be arranged in a variety of configurations, sleeping up to 24 people.
"We're in very good company," says hotel general manager Jerome Strack. "For only having been here two years, it's pretty exciting." The inn, modeled on the Victorian style of many California farmhouses, opened August 1, 2008 near Grande River Vineyards. According to Strack, it's is the first wine-themed hotel in the state.
Adding to its appeal, the hotel opened the Tapestry Lounge, a tapas-themed restaurant this past January under the stewardship of chef Jim Siemans.
Strack says the hotel, which primarily caters to regional guests, has already landed some bookings as a result of the exposure in the magazine and thinks its just a matter of time before Colorado wine shows up on more peoples' radars.
"I really think that Colorado wines are going to make a big impact in the next couple of years. It's marketing, you know?"
"We're doing something right," he boasts.
