West End Tavern, 926 Pearl Street in Boulder, will present a four-course dinner paired with beers from four California breweries: Stone (16th Anniversary, 21st Amendment, UnReal Black Ale), Firestone Walker (DBA, Wookey Jack), Moylan's (Hop Craic, Barrel-Aged Kiltlifter) and Marin Brewing (San Quentin's Breakout Stout, Star Brew Triple Wheat Ale). The dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $45; call 303-444-3535 to reserve a seat.Tuesday, October 9:Wynkoop Brewing Company, 1634 18th Street, will pour ten beers that were made over the past summer by nine well-known breweries around Colorado; each includes some sort of edible or medicinal plant that was discovered along the route. Beer Made By Walking runs from 5 to 8 p.m. in the upstairs bar and tickets costs $15. Participating breweries include Crooked Stave, Lone Tree Brewing, Oskar Blues, Phantom Canyon, Pikes Peak Brewing, Ska Brewing, Strange Brewing, Trinity and Wynkoop. Napa Valley winemaker, Peter Franus will join Arugula Bar E Ristorante, 2785 Iris Avenue in Boulder, for a special dinner paired with his wines. Sketch Food and Wine, 11 West First Avenue, presents its first wine dinner of the year this evening at 6:30 p.m. View the menu here and call 303-484-9305 to RSVP.Wednesday, October 10:Left Hand Brewery is releasing its 4 Foodies Ale today -- a pumpkin beer that will available at all Colorado Old Chicago locations. The beer is a collaboration of four local companies: Lewis Timpson of Guerrilla Farms grew the pumpkins in Niwot; Mark Newman of Old Chicago roasted the pumpkins in their Louisville test kitchen; Dan Hayward of Savory Spice Shop in Boulder provided the spice mix for the mash; and Ro Guenzel of Left Hand brewed the final product.
The Kitchen [Next Door], 1035 Pearl Street, is celebrating five of the best Colorado craft breweries that have consistently been on tap at the restaurant: Oskar Blues, Dry Dock, Odell, Funkwerks and Upslope. There will ten specialty beers on tap, all paired with eats from the the Kitchen. In honor of the Great American Beer Festival, The Kitchen [Upstairs] welcomes six acclaimed breweries from around the country for a special five-course beer dinner and discussion. Join guest speaker Ken Grossman of Sierra Nevada as he pours and talks about his beers. Also featured will be Avery, Allagash, Dogfish Head, Lost Abbey and Russian River. Each course will be paired will two beers.
Utah's Uinta Brewing Co. joins 1515 Restaurant, 1515 Market Street, for a four-course beer dinner tonight at 7 p.m. Brewmaster Steve Kuftinec will be on hand to discuss the rare beers he's brought for the event. The dinner costs $40; view the menu here and call 303-571-0011 to reserve a spot.Thursday, October 11:Rogue Brewery is taking over the taps at Lucky Pie in LoDo, 1610 16th Street, with four limited-edition beer from the Oregon brewery's "Chatoe" series. But the pizza joint is also reserving a handle for Avery today through October 13, where the Boulder brewery will feature a special release.
Friday, October 12:
Snooze, 2262 Larimer Street, is hosting Friday Night Bites 2.0: a benefit for Team Smile this evening at 6:30 p.m. There will be "bottomless libations, savory fare and chic winnings." Tickets to the black-tie event cost $150 and can be purchased here.
Studio F, 1801 Wynkoop Street, welcomes Great Divide Brewery for a seven-course beer dinner tonight. View the menu -- which costs $35 -- on Studio F's website.
