Chalk this one up to hometown pride: Diners at Racines, a thirty-year-old institution in Denver, were greeted on Sunday by chalk art celebrating another institution: the Denver Broncos. The first time the team went to the Super Bowl, the restaurant was just a few weeks old.

Artist Steven Kuc, who also curates the art shows at Racines, decided to draw attention to the team's upcoming appearance at the Super Bowl by creating the chalk-art homage.
But February 2 isn't the only day to mark on your calendar. Racines has been celebrating its thirtieth anniversary since the end of December, and is offering diners who enter its contest a chance to win a trip for two to Paris -- and a trip for two to Racine, Wisconsin. But that deadline is coming right up: The last day to enter is Friday, January 31. Stop by the restaurant at 650 Sherman Street and fill out an entry form. The snow may have washed away much of the art, but Racines continues on...
