April started out with a bang, with six bars and restaurants opening in the first two days. Since then, a number of promising eateries have debuted, including two artisan ice cream shops: Frozen Matter in Uptown and Heifer and the Hen in Boulder. Chef/restaurateur Biju Thomas launched two more outposts of Biju's Little Curry Shop, including a kiosk inside Boulder's Whole Foods Market with a streamlined service model and menu that open the possibility for many more to come.

A big name came to town at the beginning of the month when international restaurant giant Nobu Matsuhisa opened another of his namesake eateries, giving Cherry Creek an elegant new Japanese-inspired restaurant. And the RiNo district continued to heat up, welcoming Pop's Place on Lawrence Street and the Preservery, an all-day restaurant and market in the new Backyard on Blake.

Keep reading for our complete list of all the bars and restaurants that opened or closed in April.
