John Maier, brewmaster at Oregon-based Rogue Ales, is taking his brews on a four-city American tour, and today he will bring a few rare Rogue beers to Euclid Hall for a special beer dinner at 6 p.m. Chef Jake Grant will cook up a five-course meal paired with six Rogue beers for the occasion. The evening starts with a reception featuring beef jerky paired with a Rogue Yellow Snow IPA, then continues with cottage cheese cheesecake paired with Rogue's fruit salad cider; sweetened condensed milk-braised short ribs paired with Rogue Fresh Roast; brined, braised and roasted pig heads paired with Rogue's Beard Beer, a beer brewed with yeast extracted from Maier's beard; and more. Tickets to the dinner are $89 each, and can be purchased here.
