Cured West is teaming up with its neighbor, floral shop Fawn's Leap, to offer a Home Economics Summer School. The first class, which runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today, will be a “Cocktail Party in Twenty Minutes” course. You can brush up on your home ec knowledge at three future classes. If you haven't made it down to Civic Center Eats recently, there's no better time than now. The food-truck gathering is in full swing and will be serving up some of the best food on four wheels from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays all summer at Civic Center Park. The Kitchen Next Door Boulder will host New Belgium for a Beer Fruitopia tapping party and dinner at 5 p.m. today. Enjoy a five-course meal paired with five fruit-focused beers. The dinner is $50; register here.

The Global Food and Brews Fest will bring world flavors to The Spring Cafe from 4 to 8 p.m. today. There will be live music, globally inspired food trucks, local craft beers and more. Your $25 ticket includes admission to the event and a voucher for a meal at the food truck of your choice. The event benefits the Learning Center of the Spring Cafe, which helps immigrants and refugees find jobs in the hospitality sector through hands-on training and temporary employment at the Spring Cafe and job-search assistance. LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails) will host the Amazing Traveling Silent Auction to benefit the Prom Dress Exchange every Friday through June at a different Denver location. Today it will make a stop at Mell’s Cheese in Highland from 5 to 7 p.m., where participants can get a passport. The Lobby is teaming up with Breckenridge Brewery to present its third annual Crawfish Boil today, from 6 to 9 p.m. This year's boil will feature fresh crawfish flown in from Louisiana, along with mussels, clams, shrimp and all the fixin's.
