Tonight: Sequoia Grove Winemaker Dinner at Morton's

Mike Trujillo, the president and vintner for Sequoia Grove Winery, will be at Morton's, 1710 Wynkoop Street, for tonight's special, five-course meal that's paired with his wine. Admission is $150; keep reading for a taste of the menu.

First course: Jumbo lump crab cakes with mustard mayonnaise sauce, Belgian endive with blue cheese, tuna tartare, diced tomato and avocado, Thai cream and balsamic glaze. Paired with Domaine Carneros Brut 2006.

Second course: mixed field greens topped with grilled colossal shrimp, toasted walnuts, blue cheese and apple and dijon vinaigrette. Paired with Sequoia Grove Chardonnay 2008.

Third course: filet mignon, bérnaise sauce, chive mashed potatoes, roasted tomato stuffed with sautéed spinach, shiitake mushrooms. Paired with Sequoia Grove Cabernet Sauvignon 2006.

Fourth course: Green Hill, Jersey cow milk cheese, roasted wild rice, gouda, gorgonzola, Saga bleu cheese served with French baguette. Paired with Sequoia Grove Syrah 2006.

Fifth course: chocolate-covered strawberries
