Angelina Soleno, who recently opened University Groundz Coffee House at 2493 South University Boulevard, won't say where she gets her breakfast burritos -- only that they come from a secret spot in Brighton and are "the best breakfast burritos anywhere in Denver."

She's wrong about that (the best breakfast burritos in Colorado -- maybe anywhere -- are doled out from a trailer 35 miles from my house), but the coffee (Soleno uses Novo), organic whole leaf teas, pastries, Breggos and free wi-fi make this a java joint worth a stop.

Soleno says she encourages a "social atmosphere, one in which our customers can get together and visit and talk about pursuits and interests." She also has plans to expand the hours and the space into a wine and dessert bar within the next few months.

In the meantime, the coffee house is open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
