Tonight the brand-new Centennial/DTC ViewHouse will kick off a weekend of grand opening events to usher in a new era of drinking, dining and partying. Most of this ViewHouse in Centennial is as modern and flashy as its older Ballpark sibling, but a touch of the former occupant of the property -- the cheesy Trail Dust Steakhouse, which closed in 2009 -- still remains: The street side of the two-story glass and flagstone edifice retains its barn shape and old-timey appearance.

With 20,000 square-feet of interior space and an additional 10,000 square feet of patios, decks and lawns outside, the hilltop tavern boasts panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains. But if the outdoors don't thrill you, the interior showcases a two-story flagstone fireplace and, at 200 inches, the largest TV in any bar or restaurant in Colorado, according to ViewHouse.

The menu offers something for just about everyone -- wood-fired steaks, taco-truck tacos, burgers, a range of grilled and fried seafood and even a $10 Sonoran bacon-wrapped hot dog.

Doors open today at 4 p.m. Grand opening events this weekend include the Samples playing live tonight at 6 p.m., a Red Bull Motocross Extravaganza happening throughout the day tomorrow, and a bottomless buffet brunch on Sunday. Regular hours are 11 a.m to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sundays.
