MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11 Jeff Osaka's twelve is celebrating its fifth anniversary tonight with a six-course dinner prepared by six chefs: Paul C. Reilly (Beast + Bottle), Troy Guard (TAG), Alex Seidel (Fruition), Lon Symensma (ChoLon), Justin Brunson (Old Major) and Osaka. Although tickets are sold out; you can always try calling the restaurant at 303-293-0287 -- or just make reservations for dinner any other day; as Gretchen Kurtz reports in her current review, any meal here is something special.In honor of Veteran's Day, Concept Restaurants Inc. -- which includes Rialto Café, Table Mountain Inn, Via Baci, Woody's Tavern and Humboldt Farm.Fish.Wine -- will offer a free meal to vets and those currently in the military. The deal is dine-in only today, and includes one entree and one non-alcoholic beverage; wear your uniform or bring an official ID card to qualify.
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12 Food Bank of the Rockies is hosting a party for its Food Fighters kids club at Beau Jo's Pizza from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today. The club encourages kids, young and old, to fight hunger in their communities; it's free to join. At tonight's gathering, each child and one adult guest will get slices of pizza and a drink while Food Bank reps talk about how the club. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13 Oceanaire Seafood Room will host Kevin Joseph of Blue Island Oyster Farm and Jennifer Lumley of Teralto Wines International for a special Wine & Oyster Dinner. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m., with cocktails and appetizers followed by a six-course dinner prepared by executive chef John Robinson. To preview the menu, go to the Oceanaire website. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 14 The second annual Chef & Brew will be at EXDO Event Center from 7-10 p.m. tonight; it will feature fifteen teams of chefs and brewers in a cutthroat competition to create the ultimate food and beer pairings. Tickets are $49 in advance, $59 for VIP, and a portion benefits Project Angel Heart; prices increase at the door -- if any tickets are even left. Purchase your tickets online here.
Local mixologists will compete at the B2BSeen Auction & Party hosted by the Business Marketing Association Colorado at the PPA Event Center, 2105 Decatur Street. The action starts at 6 p.m. with a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres, complimentary cocktails and entertainment by Parkside Violin Infused Rock; proceeds go to helpcoloradonow.org.
