The Wall Street Journal just posted its "Insider's Guide to Denver" -- and it's a lot more insightful than the Denver destinations for foodies list that USA Today produced earlier this year. But there's a lot more than food here, too.

The Journal spoke to actress AnnaSophia Robb, Museum of Contemporary Art Denver director Adam Lerner, Topo retailer Mark Hansen and chef Jen Jasinski, who'd rated as a top foodie attraction in the USA Today piece.

Jaskinski, the co-owner of Rioja, Euclid Hall and Bistro Vendome and the soon-to-open Stoic & Genuine, is labeled "The Foodie" by the Journal, and offers these food-related picks:

Secret Sip // Williams & Graham

A cool, classic, speakeasy-style bar. Owners Sean Kenyon and Todd Colehour made the storefront look like a bookstore. You enter the bar through a moveable bookcase. I love a good Sidecar, especially when Sean makes it. They have great food, too. 3160 Tejon St., williamsandgraham.com

Chinese Chow // JJ Chinese Dim Sum Seafood Restaurant

I can't decide what I like there more--the perfect Peking duck or the squid with spicy salt. You can feed your whole crew for cheap--and they're open late. 2500 W. Alameda Ave., jjrestaurant.com

Beer and the Beat // TRVE Brewing Company

It's run by a bunch of rowdy heavy-metal guys. They have a beer named Wanderlust, for a song by the band Baroness. They call it a Belgo-American Pale Ale. 227 Broadway #101, trvebrewing.com

After-Art Eating // Colt & Gray
