All Aboard! After Years of Delays, G Line Chugs Into Town

The grand-opening celebration for RTD's G Line from Denver to Arvada took place on Saturday, April 27.
The G Line spent years as a sort of punchline; the train that was meant to connect Denver and Arvada hit so many snags during construction, its launch was delayed by several years. So commuters were overjoyed when RTD announced that the G Line was finally open, and big crowds turned out to celebrate at a kick-off party in Olde Town Square in Arvada on Saturday, April 27.
