Scraps Launch Party Celebrates a New Food-Waste Project

Bike Denver, Denver Office of Economic Development, Denver Food Rescue and Work & Class were all talking trash. On July 13, the groups came together to kick off a new business in Denver: Scraps. The service picks up food waste using trailers hooked to bicycles and has already saved more than 3,000 pounds of compostable waste from landfills. Scraps addresses one of the largest waste opportunities in Denver by targeting multi-family units for business. All photos by Kenzie Bruce.
