A culinary tour of LoDo, wine and movie-watching, vegan pizza and more on the calendar

LoDo Bites -- a culinary walking tour of restaurants in lower downtown -- takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. While sampling small bites at dozens of downtown restaurants and enjoying drink specials and desserts at select locations, attendees can also appreciate the incredible area that LoDo has become.

Participating restaurants include Bistro Vendome, Backcountry Delicatessen, Blue Sushi Sake Grill, ChoLon, Coohills, Euclid Hall, Fogo de Chao, Hapa Sushi, H|Burger Lounge, Lucky Pie, McCormick's Fish House, Mangiamo Pronto, Black Crow at the Rio Grande, Southern Hospitality, T|ACO, TAG, The Squeaky Bean, Vesta Dipping Grill and Wazee Supper Club.

Monday, June 24:

Bombay Bowl, 575 Lincoln Street, has introduced a new Meatless Monday special: from 3 to 6 p.m. on Monday, any meatless bowl is $5. The fast-casual Indian restaurant offers a large selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options daily; call 303-645-4680 for more details.

Prospect Eats continues at Prospect Park, 700 Tenacity in Longmont. The local food-truck gathering every Monday also features live, local music; visit the website for the full schedule.

Musician and winemaker Maynard James Keenan will join the crew at Frasca Food & Wine, 1738 Pearl Street in Boulder, for the restaurant's Monday night wine dinner. Keenan will pour and discuss a flight of his signature wines. The four-course dinner costs $50, with additional charges for pairings; call 303-442-6966 for reservations.

The first annual Moovers & Shakers mixology competition takes place at the Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder, tonight at 5:30 p.m. Competitors from six restaurants -- Bramble & Hare, Frasca, the Kitchen, Oak at Fourteenth, Q's Corner Bar and SALT -- will attempt to sway the crowd in their favor for a cash prize. There will be small bites served during the event, and a screening of a new documentary about cocktails at 7:45 p.m. Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Wednesday, June 26:

Restaurant Kelly Liken in Vail is welcoming winemaker David O'Reilly of Owen Roe Wines for four-course wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. this evening. The seasonal, and locally inspired, menu costs $125 (wine included); call 970-479-0175 to reserve a seat.

Thursday, June 27:

EDGE Restaurant, 1111 14th Street, is hosting a grilling cooking class every Thursday through September. Tonight's tutorial, which starts at 6:30 p.m., will feature lamb loins. The $40 cost includes tastings, one well cocktail, draft beer or house wine, and a spice rub to take home; call 303-389-3343 to reserve a seat.

Cafe Aion, 1235 Pennsylvania Avenue in Boulder, is debuting its new summer music series tonight with a live performance by Whiskey Autumn. Call the restaurant at 303-993-8131 for more information.

Friday, June 28:

Lucky's Market, 3960 Broadway Street in Boulder, has introduced a Friday burger night this month. The gathering features $6 burgers, $2 sides and live music from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Call 303-444-0215 for more details.

The two-day Epic Beer Festival begins today at the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street. The festival features more than 300 beers from 120 breweries, and tickets are $40; visit the website for more details.

Saturday, June 29:
