6. Whiskey Rebellion Denver Thursday, July 10

Whiskey Rebellion Denver is a showcase of American brown spirits, which highlights the role of water in the American whiskey distillation process. The event, which focuses mostly on bourbon and rye, will feature a number of whiskey producers and suppliers including Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey, Breckenridge Distillery, and Downslope Distilling, among others. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample twelve American whiskeys, attend a cocktail demonstration, and enjoy snacks throughout the evening. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to support Water For People's efforts to bring safe drinking water to communities across the globe. 5. Breckenridge Brewery's 24th Anniversary Hootenanny Saturday, July 12

Starting at 11 a.m. this block party in front of Breckenridge Brewery will feature the full Breckenridge beer lineup, a pig roast, two outdoor stages of live music, free brewery tours, and tastings of unique beers from Breckenridge Brewery's pilot brewery and rare beer cellar. Music will be provided by DeadPhish Orchestra, The Magic Beans, Kitchen Dwellers, Trout Steak Revival, Colorado Goat Ropers Guild and Marty Jones & the Great Unknowns. 4. TheBigWonderful Launch Saturday, July 12

TheBigWonderful, Denver's first year-round food-incubator market, will be launching on Saturday, July 12 and will pop up every subsequent Saturday at Sustainability Park. The market promises to be a win-win situation for foodies and vendors alike. For vendors it is a low cost, high traffic jumping-off point for entrepreneurs and established businesses alike to experiment and pilot new concepts, and get their food to the masses. For attendees the event offers affordable, inspiring, unique and diverse food options. For the launch of the market there will be fifty vendors with no overlap in cuisine to ensure patrons have th most diverse food options possible. 3. Pairsine Chefs Fine Food and Beer Pairing Wednesday, July 16

This beer-pairing event, produced by Wine Country Network, features ten chefs, twenty gourmet pairings and twenty award-winning beers. The ten chefs from Denver restaurants -- including The Populist, Fresh Craft, Highland Tap & Burger and more -- will converge on Omni Interlocken Resort to cook up culinary creations to be specially paired with hand- selected beers. The beer pairings were picked from more than 250 entries and only the best were selected to be included for this event. Awards will be handed out for "best chef," "most creative chef" and "people's choice chef". The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by the main event: the food and beer tasting. Get more details here.

2. Summer Brew Fest July 25-26

Denver residents love craft beer as is evident by the plethora of beer festivals that take place in the mile-high city year round. The Summer Brew Fest is another chance to celebrate your love for the suds. Brew Fest will feature over 100 craft beers, music from Good Gravy and Na'an Stop, vendors and plenty of food. The festival will take place at Mile High Station, from 7 to 10 p.m. July 25-26. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the day of the event. For tickets and more information head to denverbrewfest.com.

1. Tasty Colfax Tuesday, July 29

The Bluebird District on Colfax (between Colorado and York) will be the scene for this year's Tasty Colfax event. Since 2009 this restaurant and pub crawl through East Colfax has allowed locals to sample their way through the eclectic restaurants on a strip of this infamous street. In addition to all the tasty treats, the event will feature a main stage, ten local bands, and six live artists all on Colfax Avenue. The restaurant and pub crawl begins at 5:30 p.m. with an after-party at 8 p.m. at the Park House Pub featuring comedian Chris Carlton and local band Champion.
