Spent this past week chasing down the restaurants and watering holes that will join Whole Foods Market at the new Streets of SouthGlenn (Arapahoe Road and University Boulevard), which will hold its grand opening Thursday, August 27 through Sunday, August 30.

The majority of restaurants are familiar chains, some homegrown, some national, but the one surprise in the mix was Home, a restaurant from Phoenix restaurateur/chef Mark Tarbell that was an on-again, off-again, on-again, off-again proposition at Belmar that never came to fruition, although Tarbell did manage to open Mark and Isabella, an Italian restaurant at 425 Teller Street, in the former space that held Chama.

At the Streets of SouthGlenn, Home will join a second outpost of The Oven, the Belmar pizzeria at 7167 West Alaska Drive that was Tarbell's first Colorado restaurant. The remaining restaurant crop? Saj Mediterranean Grill; Peet's Coffee & Tea; Bar Louie; Mellow Mushroom; Tokyo Joe's; Maggie Moo's Ice Cream and Treatery; Fire Bowl; Noodles and Qdoba.
